After a long day's hard and very voluntary work, I'm finally almost finished with the revitalized Accounting Club homepage. One thing infuriated me above all else - Internet Explorer and Firefox don't space out tables the same way. After trying to nibble at bits of code (the paragraph function was an absolute no-go and Dreamweaver insisted on depositing it everywhere), I was finally able to obtain relatively strong congruency between the different browsers. Yet the pages still look different when viewed side-by-side. I don't even want to think about trying to view it in Opera.

This article is a little belated, but here's a sample of the current Account Club Newletter as manifested by me as opposed to the old one.

The new 150 hour requirement for the CPA has brought me to a fork. Right now, I estimate graduating about 18 credit hours short of the 150 without an internship, and about 9 short with an intership. So, what's the best path to take? Should I try squeezing in a few more electives? Should I forgo the internship and work on a MBA or a MAcc after graduation instead? In that case, should I try overloading myself with a couple more 18 credit semesters so that I can start a Master's program sooner? Is a Master's really practical with no work experience?

Time to start asking around.

Last week, I was elected as the Secretary of SCSU's Accounting Club. I've always felt that the layout of each week's newsletter what a nuisance, so I ran for the post which I felt I could contribute something.
So hopefully none of you out there thinks this website looks like shit, since it's the credential which I ran on.
