I came back from a shindig the accounting club threw at the House of Pizza here in Cloud. Let me tell you - there's a mighty sharp contrast between these future accountants and all those military folk I've been hanging around. I felt like a stormtrooper socializing at the Tatooine cantina. Pardon the Star Wars analogy, but I can't think of a more vivid visual than that. A straight man at a lesbian bar? How a curler feels at the winter olympics? Nah, these last two lack comparative merit. I'll stick to Star Wars.
It wasn't *that* bad though. I'll be joining the club since it's the thing to do... apparently. They really need to be counseled on the whole membership drive thing. I thought someone would stand up and speak about exactly what the offerings of this club were. I eventually asked about 30 minutes into this little social, but there was a definite lack of organization.
